A valid license is required to run HSM Performance Pack. Fill out the evaluation request form if you want to evaluate HSM Performance Pack. The latest version supports Mastercam X, X2, X3, X4, and X5. If you are experiencing problems with the installation please read the FAQ or contact your local reseller. The Adaptive Clearing for Mastercam product has been merged with HSM Performance Pack for Mastercam. Before you download and install please take your time to read the additional notes below. You should keep a local copy of the installation in case you need to reinstall HSM Performance Pack at a later time.

  • Improved linking for rest pocket for plunging outside stock.
  • Added minimum cutting radius feature for contour.
  • Improved support for multi CPU/core for the toolpath generation for significantly reduced calculation time. This applies to cutting passes, ordering, and linking for most strategies. Generation time is a factor 4 faster for many examples and in some cases even faster.
  • Improved linking for reduced machining time and tool wear.
  • Improved verify for significantly faster calculation time. Approximately 100Mb toolpath can be simulated per second for high-end workstations.

CIMCO License Manager

Installation for CIMCO License Manager which is used for permanent licenses bound to NetHASPs. CIMCO License Manager is NOT for use with any temporary licenses even when bound to NetHASPs.

Installation

You need to be an administrator to install HSM Performance Pack for Mastercam.

After installation it is recommended that you add the commonly used HSM Performance Pack functions to your Mastercam toolbar (see FAQ).

The last repaired or installed version of HSM Performance Pack will be active for the supported versions of Mastercam.

New features

Here is a list of some of the new and important features.
  1. Improved toolpath generating algorithms for faster toolpath calculation time.
  2. Support for multi-CPU and multi-core systems. All surface strategies in HSM have support for multiple CPUs/cores when calculating a single operation but some strategies perform better than others. This means that the calculation time is significantly reduced. All new PCs purchased today are mostly quad core systems.
  3. Support for Windows 64-bit (both XP and Vista). This means that HSM can utilize all installed memory in the PC which again means that the user will be able to run larger jobs without having to break up the jobs in multiple operations.
  4. Improved toolpath quality.
  5. Support for tight tolerances (below 1um). This allows you to avoid facets on machined parts with very small curvatures.
  6. Improved rest machining from previous tool.
  7. Improved linking toolpath.
  8. Improved handling of vertical walls.
  9. Improved feedback during toolpath calculation.
  10. Added support for thin walls.
  11. Added backplot with additional features.
  12. Added verify with additional features. Multi CPU/cores supported for very fast simulation.
  13. Added new arc fitting filter for reduced calculation time, better toolpath quality, and support for even bigger toolpaths.
  14. Added support for automatic toolpath length detection for the specified holder.
  15. Added support for check surfaces.
  16. Added swarf strategy.
  17. Improved linking for reduced machining time.
